NOSORH Hosts Virtual Town Hall

On Monday, January 30, 2023, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health hosted a virtual Town Hall for State Offices of Rural Health (SORH), the leadership of the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, and the HRSA Administrator, Carole Johnson. NOSORH presented the HRSA leadership with an overview of the organization’s priorities in the coming year, and participants heard about the role of the SORH in supporting federal programs from FORHP Associate Administrator Tom Morris. Ms. Johnson provided an overview of the HRSA priorities related to workforce, behavioral health, and maternal health. Much of the discussion was opened to SORH for the opportunity to share about important work going on in their states that aligned with the HRSA priorities. SORH provided insights into how federal programs are being leveraged and innovations occurring at the state and community levels. NOSORH would like to extend our gratitude to Ms. Johnson, her team at HRSA, and FORHP for making the Town Hall possible.
