The Power of Rural Movement
Inspired by the nearly 61 million people counting on us
The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health is the membership association of the nation’s 50 State Offices of Rural Health. State Offices of Rural Health are anchors of information and support for rural communities, health professionals, hospitals and clinics across the nation. They are dedicated to collaboration, education, communication and innovation to improve health in small towns around the country.
Launched in 2011, National Rural Health Day (NRHD) was an idea that developed out of a vision to formally recognize those whose work and contributions make a positive impact on the vast and varied healthcare needs of people and families living, working and raising their families in Rural America. After experiencing incremental successes with the day-long celebration, NOSORH has grown deeply committed to making a greater investment in NRHD, setting a larger goal of transforming a single day of recognition into a more meaningful and impactful movement.
