Rural Health Leadership Academy Now Enrolling
Across rural America, workforce challenges continue to dominate the conversation—but staffing shortages don’t stop with clinicians. Leadership turnover in rural health facilities is accelerating, and without a strong internal pipeline, many organizations find themselves stuck in a costly cycle of transition and instability.
To address this challenge, the Center for Rural Health Leadership created the Rural Health Leadership Academy to help rural organizations develop leaders from within. Designed specifically for rural health professionals stepping into or preparing for leadership roles, the virtual Academy focuses on practical skills like strategic decision-making, team leadership, financial sustainability, and community engagement through an engaging 10-week program. The spring cohort is now open for enrollment until March 20, 2026.
By building leadership capacity from within, rural health organizations can improve retention, create continuity, and strengthen the facilities rural communities depend on.
