On November 17th at 1 pm ET, FORHP is hosting a web event to provide FORHP grantees with an array of resources, tools and services that will assist in the implementation and sustainability of their rural health projects, organizations and networks. The Virtual Resource Fair will highlight a few organizations that can offer tools and resources around leadership development, capacity building, conducting community health needs assessments and understanding and calculating programmatic economic impact, to name a few.

Invited presenters include:

Rebecca Davis, Executive Director – National Cooperative of Health Networks

The National Cooperative of Health Networks Association (NCHN) is a national professional membership organization comprised exclusively of health networks, alliances, and/or consortiums dedicated to supporting the success of health networks.

Teryl Eisinger – Executive Director – National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health

The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) promotes the capacity of state offices of rural health and their partners to improve health care in rural America through leadership development, advocacy, education, & partnerships.

Amy Elizondo, Vice President of Program Services – National Rural Health Association

The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) is a national nonprofit membership organization with more than 20,000 members. The association’s mission is to provide leadership on rural health issues.

Mike Shimmens, Executive Director – Rural Recruitment and Retention Network/3RNet

3RNet is a national nonprofit organization. Their 53 members improve rural and underserved communities’ access to quality health care through recruitment and retention of health care professionals and community-based training.  Their free, interactive website, www.3RNet.org, connects candidates with safety net facilities and provides unbiased job resources and information.

Cheryl St. Clair, Associate Director – National Center for Rural Health Works

The National Center (RHW) develops tools and templates and provides training and technical assistance in the following areas: economic impact, community health needs assessment, rural health needs assessment and rural health service profitability.

Karla Weng, Senior Program Manager – Rural Health Value/Stratis Health

The Rural Health Value Team assists rural communities and providers in the transition to a high performance rural health system by providing tools, resources, and technical assistance, as well as analyzing rural implications of changes in the organization, finance, and delivery of health care services.
