RHIhub is enhancing their rural health storytelling through the art of video production. They are currently producing a series of videos that highlight selected programs featured in RHIhub’s Rural Health Models and Innovations and Rural Monitor newsletter.
View the videos that have been completed on the RHIhub Rural Programs Making a Difference YouTube playlist:
- Health without Borders, New Mexico – promotoras offer door-to-door immunizations for Santa Cruz residents to improve overall health in the county.
- I Got You: Healthy Life Choices for Teens (IGU), Mississippi – equips 8th and 10th graders throughout 9 counties in recognizing high risk behaviors and understanding mental health issues.
- Vivir Mejor! (Live Better!), Arizona – helps participants in Santa Cruz County better manage their diabetes and increase healthy living behaviors.
- Illinois Network Puts Hospitals’ Needs First – Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) offers services to its 54 critical access and rural hospitals, from information technology to provider recruitment.
Funded by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP), the idea for this video series came out of a need to reach RHIhub’s audiences through different avenues. Each video brings the good work of FORHP-funded programs to life through visual narratives. With a total of 6 already completed, additional videos will be released on a regular basis throughout this year and into the future.
