On the fifth anniversary of National Rural Health Day in 2015, NOSORH released “Real Doc Hollywoods and Community Stars” to honor rural providers and communities across the country. This inaugural e-publication documented just a few of the wonderful stories of service and dedication to the people who call rural America home. Thanks to State Offices of Rural Health and others who submitted these stories!
NOSORH would like to use National Rural Health Day 2016 to once again honor “community stars” who have made a positive impact on their local community, brought services that may not have been there before, shown local leadership, demonstrated a long term commitment to improve rural health, have been a dependable partner or have helped make a change for better health, ensured access to care or championed innovation in rural communities.
