NOSORH is working to prepare State Offices of Rural Health for sharing information about their work with policy makers during the upcoming National Rural Health Association Policy Institute on February 7-9. NOSORH is preparing a one page fact sheet for SORH on the appropriation request and offering customized state profiles for all SORH. SORH can request an updated state profile by contacting Donna Pfaendtner at email@example.com by January 30.
Policy Committee Co-Chairs, Mark Schoenbaum (MN) and Lisa Davis (PA), and John Williams and Andrew Coats of Hall Render are presenting the webinar Preparing to Engage with Legislators & Policymakers on January 17 at 2:00 pm ET for SORH and their state partners to prepare for visits on Capitol Hill.
A meeting of the membership will be held prior to the Policy Institute on Monday, February 6 at 5:30 PM in the Capitol room at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington DC. “Our goal is with these efforts is to ensure that every SORH has an advocate who can share the story of the good work of the SORH with policy makers,” said Teryl Eisinger, NOSORH Executive Director.
