Kassie Clarke joins NOSORH after working independently for the past four years helping rural health care organizations with their grant writing needs. Kassie will oversee the Grant Writing Institute for NOSORH along with preparing newsletters, writing toolkits and assisting NOSORH and SORH with grant seeking efforts.
Kassie previously worked for the Oregon Office of Rural Health (ORH) primarily responsible for the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility (Flex) Program and the Small Hospital Improvement Program (SHIP) grants. Prior to joining ORH, Kassie managed government relations for a dental management company. In that capacity, she drafted and monitored legislation and rules in three states, directed government contracting primarily with a focus on Medicaid dental reimbursement, and implemented school-based programs. Kassie is a certified paralegal and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American History from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
