National Rural Health Day to Feature “The Providers” Documentary Screening, Live Web Event
National Rural Health Day (November 21) is quickly approaching! See what’s in the works as the nation celebrates the Power of Rural!
The Providers film screening and live web event– In honor of NRHD, the award-winning documentary film, The Providers, will be made available for screening through the PowerofRural.org website from November 7 – 21! Then, a special live NRHD web event titled “The Art of Telling Your Power of Rural Story”, will be held on November 21 at 2:00 pm ET. During this insightful and inspiring discussion, Anna Moot-Levin, one of the two filmmakers, as well as Matt Probst, PA-C, a provider whose story is told in the film, will offer participants a glimpse into the world of making the film, and discuss what they hoped (and has been) the outcome of telling their story. Registrants of the film screening and web event will be given a “Providers” Discussion Guide as a framework for having meaningful conversations about the film’s central themes. Additionally, there will be a place on the PowerofRural.org site where registered participants can pose their questions of Anna and Matt in advance of the web event. Click here to register for both events!
