The 6th annual National Rural Health Day (NRHD) is just around the corner and activities for this year’s celebration have already begun! A kickoff webinar was held on June 21 to discuss plans for NRHD and to hear from other SORHs about what they are doing to celebrate. In case you missed it, the webinar slides and recording are available now on the NOSORH website.

NOSORH would like to build upon the success of last year’s Doc Hollywood/Community Stars stories and once again use NRHD to honor “community stars” who go above and beyond to make their rural community a better place to live, work and play. There is no limit to the number of submissions from each state, so share widely with partners and rural healthcare providers. Click here to submit a story for this year’s publication! The National Rural Health Day website, formerly, has been moved to the NOSORH website. Check out the new site at for updated resources, such as logos, save the date cards, proclamation templates and NRHD merchandise. As always, NOSORH wants to hear how SORHs are “Celebrating the Power of Rural”. Contact Ashley Muninger or Matt Strycker for more information.
