Following the NOSORH Region D Meeting in Oklahoma City, State Offices of Rural Health are invited to join a facilitated discussion regarding innovative efforts to advance behavioral health services across the frontier. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in an information exchange with experts and peers and discuss behavioral health innovations, challenges, and strategies for frontier communities. New federal and state behavioral health initiatives, funding and payment models, and evidence-based practices for chronic pain management and reduction of opioid abuse will also be discussed. The meeting is sponsored by the National Center for Frontier Communities, in partnership with NOSORH and the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy.
