NOSORH committees are great focal points for engaging in many NOSORH initiatives. Descriptions of all committees and contact information can be found on the NOSORH website.

Board- Last month the NOSORH Board of Directors approved the NOSORH strategic plan for 2016-18 and the accompanying annual budget, including revisions to the Cooperative Agreement budget. They also took action to revise the procedure for the evaluation of the Executive Director. More details are provided in the strategic plan article.

Executive- The Executive Committee focused on planning for the 2017 Board activities, including a review of the Board composition and bylaw requirements. The committee also took action on behalf of the Board to approve comments to CMS on physician fee schedule.

Finance- The NOSORH Finance Committee met in September to review a revised budget plan for 2016-18. The committee took action to recommend that the Board approve the proposed budget.

JCREC-The JCREC hosted a joint learning session on rural emergency care issues following the NOSORH annual meeting in Boston. Nearly 20 attendees learned about resources for rural EMS, heard an update from FORHP, discussed plans for the upcoming year and heard from Kevin McGinnis of the National Association of EMS Officials on First Net.
