Preparation has begun for the 2017 NOSORH Annual Meeting to be held September 6-7 in Savannah, Georgia. As the planning committee convenes, they will be looking at more topic ideas than ever before. Beyond speaker proposals, the committee will be considering ideas from the entire NOSORH membership, committees, sponsors, and staff. As always, the planning committee wants to ensure the agenda is both meaningful and dynamic by including a mix of general sessions, break-outs, Ignite sessions, a keynote speaker, and poster sessions. If you have not already, but would like to submit an idea for consideration by the committee, please email Matt Strycker to be certain your ideas reach the committee.

A request for Ignite session proposals will go out soon, so put on your thinking cap and start brainstorming how you could tell your rural story in a rapid-fire 5-minute presentation! Also, the call for nominations for the 2017 NOSORH Awards will be released later this month. These awards are a special way to celebrate and recognize the hard work and leadership of individuals and organizations dedicated to rural health. Awards will be presented during a ceremony at the Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting will also provide an opportunity for SORH to share their work via a poster session. Participants will be provided a template and printing will be done by NOSORH. Posters are a great way to highlight the work that you’re proud of in your state and let others know what’s going on! Look for more information on the poster session coming soon.

Stay tuned for the meeting registration link and agenda! Meeting details will be posted to the NOSORH website as they become available.
