NOSORH is excited to be offering a dynamic and session-filled agenda this year. Due to the incredible amount of proposals and session ideas received, the planning committee included an additional set of breakouts; three sets instead of the usual two! To see the full agenda and to register for the meeting, click here.

This year’s agenda features a unique topic: “What Have we Here? Human Trafficking in Rural America and Rural Health System Response.” Lead by Lisa Davis, Director, Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health, this presentation will provide an overview of human trafficking, with an emphasis on rural vulnerability, and discuss the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health’s initiatives to address this issue. In addition, examples of education and outreach to rural hospitals and clinics on educating staff to identify human trafficked victims and coordinate care with law enforcement and community-based services will be provided.

NOSORH members have expressed an interest in learning more about the collaborative work of the SORHs and their successes. Therefore, attendees will have the opportunity to join speakers Tracie Ingram, Louisiana Office of Rural Health, and Kate Hill, The Compliance Team, during the session “Moving RHCs from Development to Quality.” The talk will review a process used by the State of Louisiana to improve Quality of their RHCs by providing PCMH facilitator training to State Office employees and other internal and external partners. This allows the State to assist the clinics in the PCMH process which has been a proven quality improvement method.

Finally, NOSORH has contracted with Green Ride to make travel to and from the meeting as smooth as possible. Green Ride will provide round trip travel both to and from the hotel for a rate of $49 each way. Click here to reserve a seat and luggage space.
